THIEF OF JOY

...You see, a few weeks ago the Lord begin to place this phrase in my heart, "Lord, make me a creative—through and through." Since praying that prayer He's been doing a work in me— starting by showing me where creativity comes from and why it's important to tune into your own style of photography.

Short answer: it comes from Him... Now let me dive in deeper.

We reveal a part of God through our work. As a person, made in His image, He has given us all a piece of Him that can only be revealed if we show it. All of us uniquely carrying a piece of God... which is why we desperately need the body... when we all come together we reveal a part of the Father that we once didn't see. If as a creative, we're constantly mocking others move by move, we rob others by not revealing the Father. Now, we need the body; the body helps us by drawing out our creativity and passion... but when you take time to find your own style, you reveal a part of the Father that would not be seen unless you honed the craft (piece of Himself) He has given you.

By seeing it this way—it destroys comparison. You no longer see others as competition but as friends, revealing a part of God to you that was once hidden... Which, if I do say so myself... is the whole point of existence... is this search for God. All of life is one big romance with God, searching for Him in every corner, crack, and crevice you can find.
