WHAT IS SUCCESS?

How I see success is truly different than the way that the Lord sees success.

I was reminded of Proverbs 30.

Two things I ask of You, do not refuse them to me before I die:

Keep deception and lies far from me, give me neither poverty nor riches!

Give me just enough to satisfy my needs.

For if I grow rich, I may deny you and say, "Who is the Lord? And if l am too poor, I may steal and thus insult

God's holy name.

To ponder on this means to gain understanding that success isn't working hard enough so that the life you live is one of ease and luxury... but yielding to what the Lord desires to give YOU + saying in your heart, "This—this Lord, is enough for me. You know what I need and I commit myself to have the same desires that You have for me. Nothing less and nothing more."

Doesn't this go against everything that we believe? If you asked me, as a business owner, what goals I had and I said, "I want to make just enough to get by" You would look at me like I was crazy and say, "Dream bigger!" Without having one clue of what the Lord's success for me looks like.



So I will go against the grain of who I am and commit myself to what the Lord calls successful in my life.
